Dear Randians,

If you really believe in social Darwinism and absolute individualism, then isn’t it time you admitted that if you’re not happy with your lot, then it’s nobody’s fault but your own?

By your own logic, blaming the government for your situation, or hoping another government will make it all better for you, is a complete cop-out.

  1. Nicely put, Bill. So much blame to apportion, so little time.

  2. The irony is that many of the people who use Ayn Rand to support their political opinions are very Christian.

    1. Indeed. I even know a few of them. Because a Russian atheist who thought the family unit is irrelevant is the epitome of conservative Christian values, right? And when you challenge them on it, the best they can offer is, "I'm really smart so just accept it."

I was sent a very interesting analysis of Randism which sets it out as essentially "un-communism." http://www.zompist.com/libertos.html
The problem is, equal and opposite extremism is still extremism and that's the problem.
